NeOlympus - Chapter 23
"Are you ready?" Hades asked his loyal hound as he squatted in the hallway, his backside partially leaning against the wall. All three heads of Cerberus showed their excitement in different ways. The red-eyed head nodded as the green-eyed head hung its tongue out, dripping acidic venom on the floor. Finally, the blue-eyed head grinned, baring its large mouth of monstrous teeth. Most mortals thought Cerberus was a dog, but he was never such a thing. Instead, he was a purebred monster, a child of the abomination Typhon and its mating with Echidna. Aside from his sheer size, the reason for Cerberus' association with the canine creature was easy to see. He had a quadripedal body, with solid and broad shoulders in the front and a narrower backside and hips, with a long tail, though it resembled a dragon's tail more than a dog or wolf. Each of his three heads resembled a dog with a snout with sharp canine teeth and dog-like ears hidden under each head's curved horns. Though Cerberus
